The city of Savannah played an important role in Georgia. There was a group of German protestants called the Salzburgers. They had settled on the Savannah River and named their town called Ebenezer. Unfortunately, they had to relocate somewhere else and named their new town New Ebenezer. However, they had grew many crops and worked very hard to help Georgia's economy. There was also the Yamacraw Indians that had let James Oglethorpe to use the Savannah River as a bluff. Also, within Savannah, the layout that was made by Robert Castell had many Savannah a city that grealy helped Georgia in its economy too.
