Charter of 1732
The importance of the Charter of 1732 is that it was the document that let Georgia become a colony. It let Oglethorpe and the other 20 trustees let the debtors have a chance to work in Georgia and let them repay their debts. Unfortunately, that never happened and the debtors had to stay in prison and they never got to get out. However, the Charter pf 1732 putted specific rules that would help the people work and other things. Some of the rules were that you couldn't have rum, slavery was banned, and women couldn't inherit land. Lastly, King George the second signed the charter to allow Georgia to become a colony.
