eugene bullard
Eugene Bullard was the first african american combat pilot in all of african american history. He had done a total of 20 combat missions for the United States but he was severely injured. He later then went to the French Air Force and had been a combat pilot for them later until he had asked to be back into the U.S. military air force. He was sadly rejected but he was given the Coix de Guerre and the Leion d'Honneur from the French military for his services as a combat pilot in France.
