Piedmont
Piedmont lies between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Upper Coastal Plain. Piedmont is about 1,400 kilometers long and 100-300 kilometers wide. On the southeastern part of Piedmont, the boundary there is the Fall Line. Also, the rivers in Georgia and Carolina mostly rise in the Piedmont. Piedmont also consists of oak and hickory trees at southern Piedmont. Lastly, rocks in Piedmont are usually overlaid by decomposed rock called saprolite.
